The Skyview Band, Choir and Orchestra took on DIsneyland and then took it all!

When the Skyview band, choir and orchestra students all get together and travel to Disneyland to compete in the Heritage Music Festival, you know it’s going to be awesome experience. And by all accounts, this trip did not disappoint. Each of the programs performed well (the list of awards is at the bottom of this page) and to cap off a truly memorable experience, Skyview’s entire music program was awarded Best School Overall, recognizing the combined scores of the orchestra, band, and choir! Here are some videos of their performances:

Awards:

Orchestra: Chamber Orchestra earned 1st Place Gold in their division and also received the distinction of Top Strings Orchestra with the highest single score among competing groups.  

Band: the Skyview Jazz Blue received a Silver Rating, ranking 3rd Place in the AA Division for Jazz and the Skyview Jazz Silver received a Silver Rating, ranking 2nd in the AAA Division for Jazz and the Tour Concert Ensemble received a Silver Rating, ranking 3rd in the AAA division for Concert Band.

Choir: The Skyview Concert Choir earned a gold rating and 2nd place in their division and the Vocal Jazz group earned a silver rating and 1st place.
